“Micron Ê101 ADSL USB” modem

PURPOSE

    “Micron Ê101 ADSL USB” modem is intended to be used as subscriber unit for transmission of the data through metallic physical communication lines of the public telephone network with the use of ADSL technology.

DESCRIPTION

    ADSL modem supports the following standards of asymmetric digital subscriber lines:

• ANSI T1.413 Issue 2;
• MSE-T (ÌÑÝ-T) G.992.1 (G.DMT), supplement À;
• MSE-T (ÌÑÝ-T) G.992.2 (G.Lite).

    Peak transfer rate provided by ADSL modem:

• acc.to G.DMT and T1.413 standards:

    down stream – up to 8128 Kbit/sec;
    up stream – up to 960 Kbit/sec;

• acc. to G.Lite standard:

    down stream - up to 1536 Kbit/sec;
    up stream - up to 512 Kbit/sec.

    ADSL modem meets the requirements for the equipment of asymmetric digital subscriber lines determined by "Application rules for the equipment of wire and optical customer access transmission systems" approved by the order of Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of the Russian Federation on the 24 of August 2006 under ¹ 112.

    Modem power supply via USB.
    ADSL modem is compatible with USB 1.1 and 2.0 specifications.

    ADSL modem supports all the network protocols which allow both individual and group access to the Internet:

• RFC 2684 bridged (LLC/SNAP and VCMUX) (former RFC 1483),
• RFC 2684 routed (LLC/SNAP and VCMUX) (former RFC 1483),
• RFC 2364 PPP over ATM (LLC and VCMUX),
• RFC 2516 PPP over Ethernet (LLC and VCMUX),
• RFC 2225 Classical IP over ATM.

    Wideband “Ìicron Ê101” modem ensures high-speed connection of a PC to the Internet through ADSL line. The modem is connected to the computer via USB interface and ensures high-speed reception and transmission of the data over the Internet.
